Pasta is something the entire family enjoys, from Spaghetti to Fettuccine Alfredo, so people have it pretty frequently. Another one of those recipes you should add to the meal plan is this next recipe because it’s simple and certainly delicious.
This Creamy Garlic Penne Pasta is a white sauce pasta that’s perfect on its own, but if you add chicken or another favorite meat, it might be even more hearty.
Certainly, try this one out if you like pasta dishes. It’s super cheesy and it makes it another “go-to” dinner meal with just the right touch of garlic and other spices!
How to Prepare White Sauce?
One of the key reasons why we love this dish is that it’s fast and easy! In about 20 minutes, you will make it from beginning to end. That is my kind of recipe for dinner! To make this creamy pasta sauce that can be added to any pasta, just follow these simple steps.
Cook Pasta. Start by cooking the pasta as instructed on the box (we used penne).
Make the sauce. Melt the butter in a medium saucepan while the pasta is cooking, add the garlic, and cook over medium heat for 1 minute. Add the flour and cook for an additional minute, continuously stirring. Add the milk and broth, continuously stirring. Cook until it boils and thickens with the sauce. Add salt and pepper, parsley and parmesan cheese. Stir until you’ve melted the cheese.
Merge. mix. Mix in the pasta and immediately eat.
Tip: Add 1/2-1 cup of your favourite shredded cheese if you want your pasta to be extra cheesy (we like to use shredded Mozzarella or Parmesan).
Gurkhas’ Chef’s Pro Tip
Storing Leftovers can be frozen in an airtight jar in the fridge for 3-5 days.
Reheating In the microwave, we usually reheat this pasta, but this can be achieved in a pot on the stove as well. If it’s too thick when reheating, you might need to add a little more broth.
To freeze As the freezing process would make fully cooked pasta mushy, leave the pasta undercooked if you intend to freeze this dish. Place the cooked dish for months in a freezer-safe airtight bag.
